Overview

City Light Carbon ( CL Carbon ) is an investment vehicle designed to support global environmental sustainability efforts. CL Carbon will establish a large low cost position in carbon trading instruments (CER s) as defined by the Kyoto Protocol by entering into purchase contracts directly with international projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. CL Carbon management believes that successful implementation of the plan will not only contribute to preventing 25 40 million tonnes of gases from entering the atmosphere but also feels there is a unique opportunity to capture a significant arbitrage between contract price (in primary market) and market price (in secondary market) upon sale. The CL Carbon management team successfully ran the climate change practice at the global power company AES and brings a long track record of success and unique experience and insight into a nascent and evolving carbon market.
