Overview

Double Acre is an online platform enabling highly efficient trade in local food. Double Acre utilizes a purchase to harvest model where farmers list their upcoming food availability and only harvest it once it's been purchased reducing the waste associated with traditional grocery stores. Double Acre' system provides greater access to healthy sustainable foods while allowing farmers to capture much more of the value of the foods they produce adding stability to an inherently risky pursuit and encouraging new farmers to enter the market.
