Overview

Earthcraft develops livelihood programs based on appropriate technology, renewable energy, traditional craft and local resources, through community-based management systems. A sustainable enterprise that provides employment and profit sharing to the people in the villages of the Kumaon Himalayas through preserving and developing local craft. Through developing capacity-building programs in the region that enable communities to sustain themselves, approximately 500 farmers, material collectors, dyers, spinners, weavers, knitters, tailors, pashmina sorters, finishing artisans, weaving support artisans and other stakeholders are involved in the production and marketing of our textiles.
