Overview

Fundacion Esperanza was founded in 1995 by David Valle former Seattle Mariners baseball player with a mission to free children and their families from poverty through initiatives that generate income education and health. To further its mission Esperanza employs an integrated development model that focuses on structural factors that keep individuals and communities in poverty. In other words Esperanza aims to improve the economic situations of impoverished families by providing access to credit savings business training and health services.
