Overview

Fluid-Screen grew out of the Reed lab at Yale University and was spun-out as an independent entrepreneurial venture. Founder and co-inventor Monika Weber began work on the technology as a part of her doctoral studies in 2009. Today, Fluid-Screen is an early stage start-up based in Boston, MA and New Haven, CT. Near term, the company's focus is to build a strong business base in the U.S. water testing and food safety categories, with an estimated total addressable market of over $1 billion. Longer term, the company’s vision is to extend this fast, accurate and affordable technology to medical diagnostics and a range of other related fluid testing applications globally.
