Overview

Started one year ago Jiro Ve is a social enterprise that already serves 1000 families with solar products in three small towns in Madagascar. Every evening a charged up lamp is delivered to a family s doorstep by a local franchisee. In the morning the lamps are again collected and charged up using solar power. During our first year we have learned a lot and developed an innovative franchised business model that allows us to grow in a sustainable way. Currently Jiro Ve is already profitable but requires capital to scale further in order to accomplish our mission to light up at least 50000 families within the next 5 years. In Madagascar over 145 million people remain without electricity and are too poor to buy solar products directly. It is therefore our objective to make an affordable service available in a profitable scalable manner. Join us in our mission!
