committed to a world without diabetic foot ulcers

Human health & social work | United States of America | Disease Specific Prevention and Mitigation |

Overview

Of the 26 million diabetics in the U.S. more than a million will develop foot ulcers each year due to reduced feeling from peripheral neuropathy. Many of these patients will acquire intractable infections and 92000 will ultimately require amputations. Aside from the terrible human price ulcer treatment and foot amputation cost the U.S. healthcare system $71 billion annually. Podimetrics is a system for keeping diabetic feet healthy.
