We do this by rescuing and redistributing surplus fresh food building community capacity in food skills and nutrition and advocating for an end to food insecurity.Due to the social awareness vision and generous support of food donors financial supporters and over 630 volunteers in 2014 SecondBite redistributed 5.7 million kg of fresh food that might otherwise have gone to waste enough for our 1200 recipient community food programs in metropolitan regional and remote locations across Australia to provide 11.4 million healthy nutritious meals for people in need.
