Shree Kamdhenu Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (SKEPL having brand name AKASHGANGA ) was founded in 1996 to provide the Indian dairy sector with more efficient and transparent milk collection equipment. The company has evolved its product line from a single electronic weighing scale to include an automated milk collection system. Since its inception the company has installed 5000 automated milk collection systems and impacted the lives of more than 1200000 dairy farmers in India. The company has raised investment capital from two funds (Aavishkaar India & Grassroot Business Fund (an IFC arm) over the past seven years and received recognition and awards from The World Bank the National Dairy Development Board and the Stockholm Challenge for Economic Development.
