The Pacific Fishing Company ( PAFCO ) a majority Government of Fiji owned company. PAFCO commenced operations from 1987 after the acquisition of the business from Japanese company It is typically governed by the Board of Directors. The Government of Fiji holds 99% of issued capital with 1% held by private shareholders. PAFCO also has significant international players in the global tuna industry.
