Overview

The Severn Project is a social enterprise and Community Interest Company (07253111) that grows high quality salad leaves and herbs on an urban farm in Bristol and does so with a purpose. The project strongly believes that all businesses should have a positive social impact which is why people who face significant barriers to the workplace are supported to help at the project. The urban farm is based in Whitchurch giving around 5.5 acres of previously disused land a new purpose. Founded by Steve Glover in April 2010 with a very small start up capital of just 2500 the Severn Project is now a successful and thriving urban farm working to an innovative model growing using organic principles and delivering produce to around 80 restaurants shops and distributors in Bristol and the South West.
