Overview

Originally from Colorado, Shoshana is a graduate of St. Olaf College where she double majored in Biology and Environmental Studies. She was active on the school’s Environmental Coalition and Clean Energy Revolving Fund. Shoshana has conducted research on particulate matter ambient concentrations in Denver and black carbon emissions from biofuel production, and is interested in implementing energy and transportation sources to cut down on these emissions. A Fulbright scholar, her research took her to India where she studied emissions and public opinion of an improved wood-burning cookstove. Shoshana joined SEI in 2011 and has been working on The Billion Dollar Green Challenge, specifically in designing the GRITS web tool to track energy, carbon, and cost savings data from green revolving funds. Shoshana enjoys buying food locally and environmental activism.
