Overview

Amy serves as Ulupono's director of communications, providing strategic communications counsel including oversight of all aspects of messaging, marketing, and public relations. She has more than 15 years of experience in communications strategy in Hawaii. Prior to joining Ulupono, Amy served as the director of foundation communications for Hawaii Pacific Health and was a vice president at McNeil Wilson Communications, where she "talked trash" on waste issues, among many other things. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations and a minor in marketing and management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she is a lecturer, educating on public relations strategies. She also serves as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – Hawaii Chapter’s professional advisor to the University of Hawaii Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In addition, she volunteers on the boards of the University of Hawaii Alumni Association and the American Marketing Association Hawaii Chapter. She was in the 10th class of the Pacific Century Fellows and was named one of Pacific Business News’ Forty Under 40 in 2008 and PRSA Hawaii’s PR Person of the Year in 2012. In her scarce bits of spare time, she visits family on the Big Island, connects with friends, and likes to travel.
