David Hallam

Overview

David is the Director for International Finance at the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Prior to that he was Director, International Relations, and UK Envoy for the Post-2015 Development Goals. He also led a cross-government team supporting the British Prime Minister in his role as co-Chair of the High Level Panel on the post-2015 Development Agenda. His earlier career included leading on DFID’s relations with the UN development system and the Commonwealth and postings to Jerusalem, where he headed the UK’s aid programme to the Palestinian people, and to Nairobi. He have PhD and a first class honours degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia.
