Overview

Elizabeth contributed to the development of civil society mechanisms to support public health interventions in transition countries since 1991 as a Technical Consultant to the World Health Organization and USAID in Bosnia, Ethiopia, Romania, and Albania. In 2003 she became Expert Resource to the UN Joint Commission on HIV/AIDS and UN Global Fund. SHE received the Murray-Hayden California State Bond Act awards in 2000 and 2002 for community development in inner-city Los Angeles; and was Development Research Advisor to the Jefferson Hospital Ultrasound Research & Education Institute, Philadelphia. She was V.P., Ogilvy & Mather Advertising before transitioning to the non-profit sector in 1991 to co-found Lifeline Humanitarian Organization (London, Washington D.C.). She began working on the UN Millennium Goals in Health in 2001. She received her B.A. from Scripps College, CA, completed a postgrad CEP at the Institut des Sciences Politiques, University of Paris, and earned her M.A. from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
