Emmanuel Addai

Overview

Emmanuel is the Co founder/CTO Farmerline. He leads a team of dedicated web and mobile developers to build mobile voice solutions that provides timely and improved agricultural information access and better communication channels for small scale farmers and agricultural workers in any local language. Prior to this position he worked as a Geomatic Engineer in several surveying firms in Ghana as well as the lead developer and partner in iCottage Networks a leading web development firm in Kumasi Ghana. Emmanuel has leveraged his experiences in building location based/GIS and GPS applications SMS and voice applications and brings abstract algorithms to real life by building workable solutions for the agricultural ecosystem in Ghana and beyond. Since 2006 Emmanuel has had opportunities of teaching and mentoring students and young entrepreneurs like him on the impact of academic research on societal issues programming and volunteerism during his National Service and postgraduate studies at Department of Geomatic Engineering of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi Ghana. Emmanuel received a BSc and MSc degrees in Geomatic Engineering from KNUST Kumasi.
