Overview
Greg Wiegand is a founder of MicroPlanet and one of the inventors of MicroPlanet s technology. Prior to MicroPlanet Wiegand was a research engineer for LifeSpan BioSciences Inc. where he conducted feasibility studies and prototype development which lead to the automation of their In Situ Hybridization process. He was the founder and president of Zero Gravity a company that provided electro mechanical design and technology development services to the motion picture industry where he was the lead system design engineer and project manager on a wide range of projects from special effects motion control to specialty lighting. Wiegand studied physical sciences at the University of Montana and also at the University of California at Berkeley where he participated in an experimental interdisciplinary education program led by Professor Joseph Tussman.
