Overview
Originally from Chicago, Laura grew up fishing and running boats around the Northwoods. She's spent time on the ocean working as a guide in Alaska, as a dive technician on Maui, and as a biologist aboard commercial crabbing vessels in Dutch Harbor, AK. She graduated from UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management in 2014 having completed a master’s thesis working to improve the Galapagos lobster fishery.
