Tanya Khotin

Overview

Tanya Khotin is the Head of Institutional Business Development at Cornerstone Capital Group, where she is responsible for the strategy and execution of commercializing the firm’s investment research and corporate access efforts. Arriving at the firm in March 2014, she is also a member of Cornerstone’s Executive Committee. In her 25+ year career in the global capital markets, Tanya has focused on her two passions – her native Russia and sustainable and impact investing. After earning an MBA from Columbia Business School, Tanya relocated to Moscow as a management consultant with Bain & Co. to work on Russia’s privatization efforts. As Russia’s capital markets emerged and caught interest in the mid-90s, Tanya joined a boutique start-up Russian equities brokerage, Brunswick, in its New York office to introduce the new Russian stock market to US institutional investors. After UBS’ acquisition of Brunswick, Tanya ran the combined Emerging Markets sales team, and later as Managing Director, became Head of the Russian Equities business for UBS, and managed the firm’s Research, Sales and Trading operations in Moscow until 2009. Since returning to New York, Tanya has been working to advance another emerging market – sustainable and impact investing – adding her passion for promoting environmental and economic sustainability to her expertise in capital markets, management, business development and strategy. In 2011, she joined the privately held industrial real estate and certified B-Corp recycling company, Hugo Neu Corp., in its investment office to identify and diligence new portfolio managers and direct investment opportunities that fit the firm’s environmental and social justice mission.
