Overview
Thorsten is the founder and CEO of WASH United. He studied law in Germany, Venezuela and the Netherlands and holds an LL.M. in international law from the University of Amsterdam. Before bringing together his passions for football and WASH in WASH United, Thorsten held senior positions at COHRE, Brot fur die Welt and the German Institute for Human Rights. When he’s not cheering his son on the football pitch or playing pony with his daughter, Thorsten loves to cook great food for friends and to hunt mushrooms in Berlin’s forests. He’s also really into hats. In 2012, Thorsten became an Ashoka fellow.
