Overview
Tom is Deputy Director of Equity Investments at Oikocredit in The Netherlands where he provides leadership for the firm’s global equity investment activities. Tom is responsible for investments in the UK and manages the Latin American equity team. He is active with company boards and has helped grow the equity portfolio to a value over € 100 million. After working as a professor and consultant in South America, Tom initiated and managed the Emerging Markets Fund at Newport Pacific Management. The firm was purchased by Bank of America. Tom returned to his home state of New Mexico to co-found one of the first U.S. private equity impact funds and serve as Managing Director, building a portfolio of investments.
