Verena Liedgens is the Co-Founder of SokoText. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, SokoText is a smart solution with a big idea: To make food affordable for everyone. They use the power of text messaging to aggregate demand for food and unlock wholesale prices for small entrepreneurs in urban slums. Verena is passionate about market based solutions to social and environmental challenges. Her background is in social enterprise, internet startups and research in the non-profit sector. With a BA in Communication & Cultural Management and an MPA in Public & Economic Policy, building SokoText still feels like going to school everyday.
