Overview

Bede House was founded as a Settlement in 1938 to work alongside poor families in the neighbourhoods of Bermondsey and Rotherhithe. These are now part of the London Borough of Southwark. They believe strong confident communities enable people to flourish and that everyone has a part to play in building them. However there are many who cannot play as full a part as they would wish.
