Overview

HourVoice is an early stage startup building a workplace transparency platform to help non unionized hourly workers. Think of a McDonald's crew member a sales clerk at a store a home care worker. Workers answer questions on their phones about pay hours benefits and in turn see data on other employers as they look for better jobs.rnrnBy providing greater transparency into working conditions consumers (through a Yelp like app) can make more socially conscious spending decisions rewarding responsible employers who treat their workers better. The market will be more efficient. rnrnEmployers regulators researchers and labor organizations could use this ground truth data to identify hot spots workplaces where there are issues that need to be addressed.rnrnIn a nutshell HourVoice (Glassdoor for hourly workers) (a socially conscious Yelp) Analytics.
