Overview

Beartooth added a third pivot and a new wheel line this year on Jefferson Island Ranch. They now have 250 acres under pivot 15 acres under wheel line and a total of 1266 irrigable acres. Willow Spring Ranch Montana leases the ranch to grow organic hay and raise certified organic grass fed and finished lamb. Owners Katy and Richard Harjes are devoted to managing the land sustainably and giving their lambs low stress high quality lives. They practice non lethal predator control and work hard to optimize the balance between the agricultural and wildlife values of the ranch.
