Overview

Pure products Ltd was established in 2008 as a market based social venture to provide access to affordable clean drinking water to the unserved and underserved BoP (Base of the pyramid) population in the urban and peri urban areas of Uganda while offering sustainable business opportunities. Pure products provides an economic solution that solves a social problem. Untreated drinking water is one of Uganda's most critical public health problems especially amongst the poorest people. Most communities in rural and urban areas do not have access to piped water systems and even those that do must boil water prior to drinking and cooking with it. Boiling water takes time and has health consequences from the charcoal used for boiling and an environmental hazard. Pure Products believe there is an opportunity to provide access to safe affordable water to the BoP market in a new and sustainable way. Leveraging on technology we are locally fabricating and setting up Water ATMs which dispense water in exchange for coins or prepaid card. Water ATMs offer many benefits to consumers including easier and 24/7 closer access to clean water
