Reach Institute for School Leadership
Reach, which started in 2004, focuses on supporting and developing teachers ...
Overview
According to The Reach Institute for School Leadership, teacher attrition has grown by 50% over a period of 15 years. To counteract this trend, Reach launched Teaching Pathway. This program aimed to attract aspiring educators to high-poverty schools, train them rigorously to impact student achievement, and certify them to stay in the same high-poverty school or community as exceptionally effective first-year teachers. Reach Institute has been approved for expansion by the California Teachers Credentialing Board. This means they will be an accredited University Program and be eligible to accept federal grant money.
