Overview

Realdania grew out of a mortgage credit association that for more than 150 years provided home owners with mortgage loans. When Realdania mortgage credit activities were sold off in a merger in 2000 it was decided to secure the value of the company capital in a philanthropic association. This way future generations would benefit from the money through the continuing improvement and development of the built environment. Today they are a member based philanthropic organization that supports projects in the built environment cities buildings and built heritage.They work to create value through development and change dialogue and knowledge partnerships and networks initiatives and proactive efforts.
