Courageous Kitchen

Thailand

As our organization grows we re always looking for opportunities to share our mission to inspire marginalized youth in Bangkok through the power of food and education. For this reason we re excited to announce Courageous Kitchen has just been designated as an approved charity for the Combined Federal Campaign or CFC.CFC is a workplace giving program for federal employees in the United States. The program allows employees to designate a portion of their salary to be donated to approved charities. The program is the world s largest of it s kind and helps a diverse variety of organizations fund their programs and activities. Only charities who demonstrate financial transparency in the previous fiscal year are accepted to participate. As a small organization Courageous Kitchen depends on the word of mouth of our supporters. So even if you aren t working for the federal government military or a postal worker you may know someone who is! We need everyone s help to spread the word especially during the pledge period in the fall of 2018.

Talent Beyond Boundaries

United States of America

Talent Beyond Boundaries' goal is to open a safe and legal pathway for refugees to become self reliant through labour migration. We do this by linking companies that are hiring globally to fill skill gaps around the world with the currently hidden pool of skilled refugee talent. Millions of people around the world are displaced from their homes having fled war and terror. A large number of them are educated and skilled workers who are not allowed to work legally in countries where they have sought refuge. As a result the talents of this population are going to waste. Although humanitarian leaders and academics increasingly recognize that labor mobility can help displaced individuals lead productive self sufficient lives to date there has been no effective effort to connect this talent pool to private sector employers who recruit globally. Beginning in the Middle East our goal is to create a viable private sector solution for refugees around the globe.
