Chureca Chic represents the innovative and luxurious jewellery and stationary that beneficiaries of the EEP programmes learn to make from recycled materials. The collections are inspired by the flora and fauna of Nicaragua, its volcanoes and the entrepreneurial spirit of women whose lives are changed through the purchase of the products. Chureca Chic was launched in July 2013. In September 2013, the brand premiered at London Fashion Week and again in February 2014. In 2014, Chureca Chic has exciting plans ahead with emerging Nicaraguan fashion designer Shantall Lacayo (winner of Project Runway 2012) and the international brand ‘Kuero’ by Alejandra Velazquez.
