The GrowUp Box is a small scale agricultural production unit as well as a space for events and community engagement. It was founded in 2013 by Kate Hofman and Tom Webster to build sustainable commercial urban farms growing food for local markets. With lots of online talk about aquaponics and urban farming Kate and Tom wanted to get growing! They decided they needed a demonstration farm and designed and built The GrowUp Box.

Ten Acre Organics LLC is an urban farming company based in Austin TX and was founded in January of 2012. Their ten acre farm model is designed to mimic a natural ecosystem and employs aquaponic greenhouses (raising fish veggies herbs and salad greens) as well as organic field crops fruit trees mushroom production chickens bees and on site composting. This integrated diversified approach allows us to grow a wide variety of foods in a way that optimizes resource use efficiency while creating zero waste.
