Overview

Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL) is a non profit organization dedicated to protecting soil resources empowering communities and transforming wastes into resources in Haiti. They believe that the path to sustainability is through transformation of both dis empowered people and discarded materials turning apathy into activism and pollution into valuable resources. SOIL is a US 501(c)3 non profit organization dedicated to promoting dignity health and sustainable livelihoods through the transformation of wastes to resources. SOIL has been working in Haiti since 2006 to facilitate the community identified priority of ecological sanitation (EcoSan) where human wastes are transformed into rich compost critical for agriculture and reforestation efforts.
