(SIF) invests in social enterprises that create and scale sustainable solutions to address societal problems around the world. SIF focuses on investing in ideas that are innovative disruptive and have the potential to make a large scale positive impact on underserved populations. Over the last decade SIF has supported social entrepreneurs and governments across five continents and in a variety of different sectors and social issues. To accomplish his mission of not only investing in but also building the broader impact investing ecosystem in 2013 James Lee Sorenson founder of the Sorenson Impact Foundation endowed the Sorenson Impact Center (SIC) at the David Eccles School of Business within the University of Utah. The Sorenson Impact Center is a renowned think and do tank focused on impact investing impact measurement data for social good public private partnerships policy innovation and overall field building. To date SIC has advised governments private investors foundations nonprofits and entrepreneurs on a variety of different investment and policy initiatives both in the U.S. and abroad.
