Overview

The Piton Foundation is a private operating foundation established in 1976 by Denver oil man Sam Gary. It is funded by the Gary Williams Energy Corporation to develop and implement programs to improve education expand economic opportunities for families and strengthen lower income communities.For more than 40 years Sam Gary has been pioneering the idea that business and philanthropy canand shouldwork together to create opportunities for those who need it most. Through their business and philanthropic ventures Sam and his wife Nancy have remained committed to improving the lives of Colorado's low income children and their families living by the belief of doing well in business and doing good in the community.
