Overview
Jayaroopa has been involved in the social enterprise and impact investing space since 2007. Before joining Unitus, she led India investment operations at Fondazione Opes, an Italian impact fund, successfully closing transactions in the clean-tech and education realms. Prior to Opes, she led the fundraising efforts at Janalakshmi Financial Services, one of the largest microfinance institutions in India. She successfully executed several debt, equity and loan securitization rounds. A well-capitalized Janalakshmi successfully navigated turbulent times for the microfinance industry in India to emerge as a leading player in the space.
