Umesh Malhotra

Overview

A serial entrepreneur, focused on entrepreneurial ventures to fix problems of education for the disadvantaged in the country. In 2008, Umesh was selected an Ashoka fellow for the pioneering work done by him in the area of promoting reading for children. Umesh also runs a chain of restaurants in Bangalore city, and sits on the advisory board of Dream-a-dream, a not for profit working towards the development of life skills in children. Umesh also co-founded Bangalore Labs in 1999, India’s first IT infrastructure management firm. Umesh started his career with Infosys Technologies and is a graduate of IIT-Madras.Umesh is an active Angel investor, and member of the Indian Angel Network.
