Alexandra Clare

Overview

Alexandra a social entrepreneur and consultant with experience launching and scaling programs and organizations with a focus on technology education and social impact particularly in conflict affected settings. For the past 2 years I've been building Re Coded a coding boot camp for conflict affected youth in Iraq and Turkey. Since Re Coded launched we've trained more than 300 children and youth in coding skills who have gone on to work as developers and tech entrepreneurs in their communities. Over the course of our programs we've also been privileged to witness the powerful transformation of attitudes and behaviors in our students. They graduate with confidence and courage to pursue their dreams. For our team that's the real impact transforming students into tech leaders who will go on to create digital solutions to some of the problems they see in their communities. I'm now driving some of this knowledge into Thrive Humanitarian Innovation a consultancy that helps other organizations leverage technology to protect and provide education in times of crisis.
