Overview

Anand is CEO and co-founder of MobileWorks, a Y Combinator- and Andreessen-Horowitz-backed startup making crowdsourced virtual staffing reliable enough for enterprise use. As a mathematician, roboticist, and National Science Foundation fellow at UC Berkeley, he developed fundamentally new techniques to bring fairness and accuracy to the practice of crowdsourcing, as well as teaching undergraduate coursework in enterpreneurship. Anand holds degrees in mathematics, physics, industrial engineering, and operations research from UC Berkeley. Most recently, Anand was named as one of Forbes Magazine's "30 under 30" Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30. Anand has published over a dozen papers in ACM and IEEE magazines, journals, and venues. Anand previously held a National Science Foundation graduate research fellowship in mathematics. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Mathematics, and Physics from UC Berkeley.
