Overview

Asghar Khan is an Activist for Peace and Love Social Entrepreneur and an Educationist He is a nominee for Nelson Mandela Award an Acumen Fellow 2016 and winner of The Rising Rhino Award. Serving the nation through education since 2013 in rural areas.Asghar khan has grown up in a tribal setup and has very closely seen the miseries faced by tribal communities in Balochistan which has given hype to liberation movements and extremism. He started campaigns to overcome these threatening narratives those campaigns yielded in shape of DEWA Foundation which aims to promote peace and counter poverty through Education. Asghar holds an MBA degree from BUITEMS Quetta. He is an activist for peace & love a social entrepreneur and Founder of three different profitable and non profitable ventures i.e. DEWA Foundation The Joycation and Da Pohaanu Cafe. DEWA Foundation is basically a non profit charitable Educational foundation which is financed by local contributions of well to do members of the society. The basic focus of this foundation is to educate the most disadvantaged and poor sections of tribal areas. To sustain DEWA in the face of financial constraints he has planned to establish profitable schools with the name of The Joycation in the metropolitan cities The Joycation has launched its first Montessori villa in Quetta capital of Balochistan from Jan 2017 admission for spring session are open. When it comes to politics he believes that no state or people can ever progress and keep pace with developed world if its youth remain apolitical. To make a difference politically he sat up Da Pohaanu cafe it s a Pashto word mean The Intellectuals Cafe which promotes the core values of Democracy Peace Non Violence Global Citizenship Good Governance and commits itself to become a vibrant center of Balochistan Pakistan s developing civil society.
