Overview
Carlton Byrd is a Director in the Investor Development Group at Actis for the Americas. Carlton has over 20 years of experience in the alternative asset management industry.Prior to joining Actis Carlton was a Managing Director at Common fund where he was responsible for institutional business development across the areas of Emerging Markets Private Equity Natural Resources and Venture Capital. Carlton began his career in the Equity Capital Markets group at Goldman Sachs and he previously served as an officer in the US Navy. Carlton holds an MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a BAS in Systems Engineering and a BS in Finance.
