Overview
Charles was born in Kamwokya; one of the most impoverished slums in Uganda. Growing up in an environment characterized by lack of opportunity, poverty, crime, drugs and poor health, Charles harnessed a spirit of social responsibility and an insatiable desire to give back to his community. Before completing High school (2007) Charles designed the "Self-Sustaining Community" (SSC) model of enterprise to transform the community through; job creation, improving access and affordability for health, education and youth entrepreneurial empowerment.
