Overview
Connie Matsui has enjoyed careers in diverse industries during periods of unprecedented growth and innovation. With more than 30 years of general management experience in both banking and biotechnology, Ms. Matsui brings a unique cross-sector perspective to impact investing. Prior to her retirement, she was Executive Vice President with Biogen Idec, Inc. and, before that, Senior Vice President with IDEC Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Matsui’s responsibilities have spanned strategic planning, marketing, investor relations, corporate communications, human resources, project management and alliance management. Ms. Matsui contributes her strategic leadership and organizational development skills to nonprofit and foundation boards at the local, national and international level. In July 2014, she was elected Deputy Board Chair for the world’s largest voluntary organization for girls and young women.
