Overview
After a successful career in the technology industry, Dirk followed his interest of the investment markets into a career in the financial services industry. In 1997, Dirk was hired into the Professional Development Program at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith and within a very short period of time, became one of the most successful new hires in the country. After initiating a relationship with Intel in Oregon, he worked closely with technology company employees in managing individual stock accounts, employee stock options, and building comprehensive financial plans.
