Overview
Donna is an artist and filmmaker who thrives in collaborative environments where many differentideas and energies are engaged. After studying theater arts at Carnegie Mellon University she spentthe next two decades working collaboratively with some of the world's most talented cinematographers and writers on environmental documentaries. She has received numerous grants including a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation media grant in partnership with the World Bank and World Resources Institute. One of her proudest moments was the time she spent with the late Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Mathaai filming the early Greenbelt movement in Tanzania.
