Overview

Gideon is the founder and acting CEO of GEEL Medical services. He Specialized in Radiology at Makerere University, after which he volunteered with the World Health Organization (WHO) where he carried out a research on the state of health care in rural communities of Uganda. In a space of 2 years he started, established and rejuvenated two radiology departments in Divine mercy hospital and Uganda Reproductive Health Bureau, Kampala his service pulled out the two health facilities from collapsing. He also co-founded MEEG medical centre operating on the Uganda- Kenya border. His teen health story coupled with the world health organization research findings inspired him to start up GEEL medical services. Gideon believes quality health care is everyone’s right irrespective of financial status, race and region. He also believes that patients are the doctors’ bosses.
