Overview
Gina LaMotte is a social entrepreneur who is most passionate about unlocking the power and potential of youth as bold leaders innovators and visionaries. Gina is the founder of EcoRise a social enterprise whose mission is to inspire a new generation of leaders to design a sustainable future for all. EcoRise supports K 12 educators with programming bilingual curricula and professional development that introduces youth to sustainability design and innovation. Launching in 2008 Gina bootstrapped the organization attracting hundreds of community partners and securing millions of earned income and charitable contributions. Over the last nine years EcoRise has grown to serve over 700 schools and 1800 teachers in 26 countries bringing the strategies of social entrepreneurship biomimicry design thinking and green building into the classroom.
