Overview

Hélène has been working on sustainable development and energy issues since 1971. She founded several environmental associations, both in France and Canada. Until 1995 Hélène worked at the OECD Environment Directorate where she was the economist in charge of developing the work of the Directorate in the field of energy and environment. Prior to the OECD, Hélène worked in Canada where she taught at the University of Quebec in Montreal. She became a Member of the first National Round Table on Environment and the Economy and Vice-Chair of the Canadian Environmental Advisory Committee. She recently became a knight in the French Legion of Honour as a recognisance of forty years of work dedicated to the protection of the environment for future generations
