Overview

A passionate forester with over 25 years of experience, she has proven her unique skills at designing innovative tropical forest plantations and adaptively implementing those designs on the ground. Iliana is specialized in mixed species management of tropical native hardwood. She is the co founder and owner of Futuro Forestal and has extensive field experience. She has overseen impressive growth results in the hardwood plantations she has managed. Previously she worked as a researcher and consultant to the Smithsonian Tropical Institute, Organization of American States, Provincial Governments in Argentina and Parque de la Amistad (Panama/Costa Rica). Iliana has a B.S. in Forest Engineering from Escuela Superior de Bosques de la Universidad de la Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
