Juan Guardado

Overview

Juan Guardado is based in Tanzania, East Africa where he is a Co-Founder and Director of Natural Extracts Industries Ltd. He is also part-time COO of Equity for Tanzania, a for-profit social enterprise providing equipment lease financing to micro and small enterprises, and a Director of ACTT Ltd, an IT for education social enterprise. He was formerly an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in London, UK, with projects spanning across North America, Europe and the Middle East. In his 5 years there he became a founder and leader of the Healthcare Informatics Group, focusing on IT, business intelligence and service re-design strategies for health systems (£1 billion turnover), as well as leading large scale performance transformations at regional levels (with approx. £500 million budgets) of multinational corporations. He also led the development of a $550 million corporate foundation in Dubai backed by the Emir.
