Overview
Juan Rosales, originally from Tampico, Mexico, is a recent graduate from the University of Texas Pan-American with a major in Economics and minor in Business Administration. Before studying here in the US, he studied his freshman and sophomore years at the ITESM Campus Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. Juan has been an active leader through his student years, attending conferences and leading projects in Boston, Miami, Minneapolis, Houston and Dallas.In November 2014, Juan was selected to be Team Leader for the “Up To Us” project, a national awareness campaign about long-term national debt, economic collateral effects and fiscal challenges, sponsored by Net Impact, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative University.In his position at WCCN, he collects and processes economic, statistical and social impact data by analyzing the economic feasibility of proving credit to specific countries, economic sectors, individual microfinance agencies and agricultural cooperatives in support of the Loan Fund Manager and Senior Credit Advisor. This includes providing credit analysis in country with WCCN's partners before and after WCCN invests with a partner.As a fun fact, he wanted to be an astronaut since he was young and disapproves of the International Astronomical Union’s decision to leave Pluto out of the Solar system.
